BTW is a Maltese Public Tax Warehouse recognised by the European Union and authorised to operate by Malta Customs. The premises consist of 11 warehouses at ground level, 11 stores at upper level and 5 stores at intermediate level. Total capacity of 2600 m2.
 
BTW is responsible for the warehousing of Wines, Spirits and Tobacco. The main benefits accruing from warehousing with BTW are the following:
  • Payment of highly taxable excise goods is suspended pending the release of such goods from bond - hence better cash flow.
  • Traders' bonded excise goods are covered by an Insurance Policy secured by Lloyd's.

The Public Tax Warehouse is situated circa 200 meters away from the Customa Head Office in Valletta, opposite the Ministry for Rural Affairs and the Environment on your way up to the Mediterranean Conference Center.
